Angel’s Rebellion MC

Born out of sweat and tears the Angel’s Rebellion motorcycle club resides in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas in a small community known as Elk.

Technically, the Korean War did not end. The fighting stopped when North Korea, China and the United States reached an armistice in 1953. And when the US troops returned home, many felt disenfranchised from their country. Among those men were Arkansas natives James Brown and David Johnson who grew up together, joined the Marines together and were now Marine veterans together.

By 1954, the men, along with six of their buddies, some of those buddies’ blood family, founded the motorcycle club known as Angel’s Rebellion MC. “Sarge” Davis and “Gunny” Johnson were among the original officers in ARMC. Sarge was the president for decades and Gunny served as his sergeant at arms. The remaining positions were as follows: Possum as vice president, Seer as secretary, Tater as treasurer, Undertaker as enforcer, Cueball as road captain, and Hogan as tail gunner. These men were the founding members of ARMC.

At first the club was to be a place they could all get together to keep alive the brotherhood they had formed in the military. But soon they decided they wanted more for the club; they wanted to live close to each other. The eight Founders decided they wanted a place to live, a safe haven, where they could build homes and raise their families without having to conform to society's standards. When they finally found an area that had enough land where they could build a massive compound, the Brothers set about buying all the conjoining land parcels. By the time they bought up the land, they had hundreds of acres in the Arkansas community of Elk.

Through good planning, local investment stocks were purchased. And those stocks doubled and then doubled again and again, and the Brotherhood became very wealthy. They built and bought local, legitimate businesses and kept their income safe. They never engaged in organized crime and they kept anything of that kind out of their territory. The ARMC cry remains: Our Own We Protect. We Protect Our Own.

So how did the Club grow? Well, the Brothers procreated, as men tend to do, and those children did the same which lead to a third generation of Brothers. Sarge and his wife Lori produced three sons, Mad Dog, Hoss and Shadow. Possum and his wife Sara produced two sons, Trooper and Slaughter. Seer swears he has no kids. Tater’s ex ran off with his children. Gunny and his wife Julie have three children but none in ARMC. Cueball and his wife Lilli have two sons, Karma and Maul. Hogan and his wife Sammi have two sons, Brute and Doom. Undertaker and his wife Pennie tragically died in a bike crash, leaving sons Blood and Brax in the Brotherhood. And yes, of course, there were daughters born to these couples but to define the Brotherhood, they cannot be counted here.

And the Originals’ generation of the Brotherhood continued with Mad Dog and his late wife Beth, producing son Beau. Hoss and his Old Lady Jessie have Axel and Streak, who are prospects. Shadow is single and is still on active duty with some spook-group in the Army. Sarge’s nephew KJ, along with KJ’s oldest son Nickel and KJ’s nephews Eagle and Bane also joined.

Karma finally ditched his girlfriend, Jade, but his son is only ten. Maul and his Old Lady Tessa have four kids, too young to add to this list. Trooper, Slaughter, Brute, Doom and Blood remain without a partner, yet. But Brax has been busy, fathering three youngsters. Shadow and his best friend Ranger patched in at 18, left for the Army, and Ranger returned to the MC fifteen years later. This group rounds out all the members of ARMC at the end of 1997.

The Brotherhood grew exponentially when a group of seven men were invited to patch-over from their former 1%’er club in Kentucky in early 1998. One of the men who patched over was previous vice president of Spawns of Satan MC, Viper. His oldest sons, recent Army vets Predator and Rebel, both proudly wear ARMC prospect cuts, along with their younger brother Jace. Rounding out the patched-over men were Rogue, Slade, Screw, Hatchet, Cotton and BamBam.

And then more men and more men were added as they drifted out of their military service. Four decades later, the Brotherhood is still growing and the ARMC story continues….

Read a lil’ and see what the guys are up to today.
